After playing a gangster in Yennai Arindhaal, Arun Vijay will now be seen as a cop in his current film, which is directed by Arivazhagan. Confirming the news, the actor says, “I was waiting for a good role after Yennai Arindhaal and Arivazhagan came up with this brilliant script. I am playing the role of a cop for the first time in my career. Unlike the regular film cops, the role requires my body language to be subtler.”
Arun reveals that he will be sporting a clean-shaven look and is also planning to bulk up a little for this role. “I haven’t followed any real-life police officer’s look for this though, and will be taking cues from my director.”
The team has started shooting for the film recently in Chennai. The film is said to be a medical crime thriller. “It is inspired from one of writer Rajesh Kumar’s novels, but Arivazhagan has written an entirely fresh screenplay, also basing it on a couple of true
incidents,” says Arun.
