Honda Concept D-based SUV leaked

A full-size SUV concept from Honda, called Concept D, was showcased at the Shanghai motor show. Now, a first set of images of its production version have surfaced on the internet. Likely to be called the Honda UR-V, the model will initially be sold in the Chinese market and will sit above the CR-V.

The production version sticks to the styling seen on the Concept D. It gets a sloping coupé-like roofline and a heavily raked windscreen along with a roof-mounted spoiler.  Up front, the grille is more upright and has a thick chrome band running across it. The bumper is large and gets adequate chrome detailing, along with LED daytime running lamps and a prominent scuff plate. The new SUV sports stylish headlights with LED which look similar to the one seen on the recently facelifted India-bound Accord sedan.
The new SUV is likely to come with features such as heated seats and a panoramic sunroof. It may get Honda’s SH-AWD system as well. Powering the new SUV will be a 2.0-litre turbo petrol motor.
While the new Honda SUV will be sold only in China initially, there is a possibility of it hitting international markets as well.
