2016 Volkswagen Polo Allstar revealed

Volkswagen has released details of the upcoming Polo Allstar special edition on its website ahead of the car’s launch. As per our earlier report, VW was gearing up to introduce the model in our market during the festive season. With the recent update to the automaker’s website we could expect the launch to happen shortly.

As per the details revealed, the Allstar features minor cosmetic changes to the exterior while also getting equipment previously not available on the standard Polo. Changes to the exterior comprise a new 15-inch alloy wheel design, a new Blue Silk paint shade that is currently available on the Ameo (as reported earlier) and Allstar badging on the car’s B-pillars.

Inside, the Polo Allstar gets the addition of rear air-con vents, a front centre armrest with storage, metallic-finished pedals and Allstar badged scuff plates. The seats get new fabric upholstery with a contrast colour stripe down the centre and contrast stitching. Further details are yet to be revealed.

The Polo Allstar will most likely be available with the naturally aspirated 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel from the standard Polo when it goes on sale. It is unclear if the car will be available in the more powerful GT series.

The carmaker has not revealed prices as of now. While the new model is also just a cosmetic update over the standard car, features like the unique alloy wheel design and paint shade along with add-on rear AC vents make it stand out and does help enhance the car’s appeal which could help boost Polo’s sales during the festive season.
