NEW DELHI: A 17-year-old girl was allegedly robbed after being held at knifepoint at Sant Nagar in Burari on Wednesday night. The girl said that the youth threatened to put her through the same fate as Karuna, the girl who was stabbed 30 times by her jilted lover, and snatched her mobile phone. Police say that the accused was arrested from the area a few hours after the incident.
Police said that the girl travelled to Mukherjee Nagar for her coaching classes. On Wednesday night, she was returning home when the youth, Anoop, held her at knifepoint and snatched the mobile phone. The girl reached the Jharoda police post nearby and told police about the incident. She described his features to them, after which a search began to nab him.
