India’s leading two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp has teased a new adventure motorcycle which will make its debut at the 2017 EICMA show in Italy.
The teaser image does not reveal any vital information regarding the new motorcycle, but the off-road trail suggests that it could be an adventure motorcycle.

We expect that the upcoming motorcycle from the stable of Hero MotoCorp could be a bigger Impulse or the new rally motorcycle for the 2018 Dakar Rally for the Hero MotoSports Team Rally. Either way, it is an adventure or rally motorcycle.

Taking a closer look at the teaser image, we can spot the spoke wheels and long travel suspension. It looks like an updated avatar of the Impulse which might also get a bigger engine and new features.

Hero MotoCorp was the first automaker to introduce an affordable adventure motorcycle, the Impulse in the Indian market. But the 150cc dual-purpose motorcycle failed to attract buyers and the company had to discontinue the Impulse in India.

If Hero unveils the new Impulse, it is likely to draw power from an all-new 200cc engine which is being developed for the Xtreme 200S street fighter. The engine on the Impulse will be differently tuned and it is expected to produce 18.5bhp and 17.2Nm of torque. The motorcycle is likely to feature riding modes and ABS.
Another possibility will be the new 249cc engine which will power the upcoming HX250 sports motorcycle. The liquid-cooled, fuel injected engine is good for 31bhp and 26Nm of torque.
