Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL),country’s second largest car manufacturing company has officially announced sales figures for the month of November 2017. The domestic sales of the South Korean carmaker grew by 10 percent in comparison to the same month last year. The company witnessed a strong demand for its recently launched Hyundai Verna sedan as the fact that it has received more than 24,000 bookings. Moreover, the car maker has also garnered more than 1,75,000 inquiries which has enabled the company to post positive numbers. The new Verna has managed to outperform segment leader Ciaz and Honda City in two consecutive months – September and October. Moreover, the company is tightening the screws on the export front as well wherein it has achieved its export target of 2000 units before the end of this year. The company has also received an order of 10,501 units for the new Verna from the Middle East of which the company has exported 2022 units till now. The South Korean automaker will also be exporting the new generation Verna to other Gulf and Asian countries and South Africa by 2018 onwards. The new 2017 Hyundai Verna is available in both petrol and diesel engines – 1.6-litre Gamma petrol and 1.6-litre U2 CRDi diesel. Transmission duties are carried out by 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic. The new 2017 Verna sedan is priced in the range of INR 8 lakh to INR 9.43 lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi).
