Four Delhi Development Authority (DDA) officials, including a director, have been booked for allegedly raping and blackmailing a woman colleague for the past three years.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Romil Baaniya said a case of rape and molestation was registered against the accused at Kotla Mubarakpur police station on Tuesday night. No arrests had been made till Wednesday evening.
The DDA has also initiated an internal probe into the matter, said a senior authority official.
In her complaint to the police, the woman said she had joined DDA in 2014 after her husband’s death. She claimed that she was first raped in the HRD Centre of the DDA office in Vasant Kunj. She was also raped in a house in Gurgaon.
She also claimed that the accused had not only sexually assaulted her but also filmed the act to blackmail her and she was also threatened that if she would not conform to their demands, the video would be made public.
“She has also alleged in her complaint that the accused threatened to kill her and her son if she told anyone about her ordeal,” said a police officer. She also apprehended that the men might have deleted CCTV footage of the places she was taken to and could have deleted records of her entry to the HRD room in a register used to maintain attendance.
