Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Pravin Togadia came out making some revelations on Tuesday morning in a press conference after 11 hours long mysterious incident of going missing.
Togadia was taken to a private hospital in Shahibaug area of Ahmedabad city in the late evening on Monday by some unknown person in the unconscious state.
After returning to senses, Togadia addressed the press conference and said that someone was trying to kill him through police encounter with the motive to muzzle his voice of Hindutva.
Togadia said, “Police should not try to harass me and should stay away from suppressing my voice. The central IB police has been trying to create troubles for me but I am not going to fear from anyone. Someone is trying to kill me through police encounter to muzzle my voice, as he/she do not like that I raise my voice for Hindutva and work for Ram Mandir, Gau Raksha and Love Jihad for a unity of Hindus. I have been doing this for many years. ”
“I will make revelations with evidences on appropriate time,” he added.
Togadia narrated the story on his whereabouts on Monday. He also became sentimental while talking to media persons and took several sobs
He said, “On Monday morning, when I was doing puja in the office of VHP in Ahmedabad, someone came in and alerted me to leave office immediately and he was afraid of my encounter. I received a call on my mobile from a well-wisher who informed that Gujarat and Rajasthan police had left to arrest me from Sola police station in Ahmedabad. I went out the office and informed my security and left for Thaltej area with some VHP workers. On the way, I called up Rajasthan CM and Home minister and they said that no order was passed to Rajasthan police for my arrest.”
“I switched off the phone and went to someone’s house in Thaltej and tried to investigate entire issue through someone else’s mobile so that police cannot trace my location. I contacted lawyers to file quashing petition of a warrant but they advised me for self-production before the court and I decided to leave for Jaipur immediately. I left for Ahmedabad airport alone in the auto rickshaw. Meanwhile, I felt uneasiness and chest pain, I asked the rickshaw driver to take to Bapunagar area for Dhanvantri hospital. What happened next to that I don’t know but after a few hours later, I found myself in another hospital,” added the Hindu leader.
Togadia also said that he appeals workers of VHP to stay calm and not to let the law and order situation be deteriorated. He also said that he would surrender before court very soon in the case.
