After the state governments of Rajasthan, Gujarat, Haryana and others banned the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s controversial movie Padmaavat, the producers move Supreme Court against the film being banned, reports ANI.
The Apex Court has agreed to hear plea of producers, reports PTI.

Padmaavat, which was earlier named as Padmavati, is scheduled to hit theatres on January 25 after it was cleared by Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) in December.
The board had asked for several modifications, including a change in the title.
The movie was mired in controversy after various Rajput groups, including Rajput Karni Sena, raised their objections towards the content of the film.
Other states, including Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh which had indicated that the film will not be allowed to be released in November — are yet to announce their final decisions.
