The Fire Brigade on Saturday filed an FIR against the owners of Navrang Studio located at Todi Mill Compound in Lower Parel for violating fire safety norms and storing scrap illegally.
A major fire broke out at the studio on Friday, injuring a firefighter.
According to fire officials, the blaze was confined to a large stock of celluloid films and scrap materials on the fourth floor. “The material was stored illegally, thereby posing a threat to life and safety of people. Hence an FIR was lodged against owner of the premises,” a fire official said.
