A stellar batting performance led by Sanju Samson and a lethal bowling spell by Jasprit Bumrah ensured a historic night for the Men in Blue in front of a packed home crowd.

After being put in to bat, India posted a competitive total of 256 runs. The innings was defined by a masterful knock from Malayali star Sanju Samson, who top-scored with a brilliant 89 runs.
