Kollam: Political bigwigs and eminent personalities attended NRI businessman Ravi Pillai’s daughter Arathi’s wedding with Adithya Vishnu, son of Vinod Nedungadi and Dr Latha Nair, at the Ashramam grounds in Kollam. The marriage was solemnised at the auspicious time between 11 am and 11. 45 am. The guests included, leaders of several countries, members of royal familes, eminent industrialists, politicians, diplomats and film stars. Eminent personalities from America, Britain, Spain, Italy, France, Sweden, Croatia, Netherlands, Japan, Korea and South Africa graced the occassion. Guests from the gulf countries of Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Syria, Saudi Arabia , Lebanon and UAE also attended the function. Programmes which showcased the art and culture of Kerala was held at the venue before the marriage was solemnised. Manju Warrier, Shobhana, Gayathri, Soorya Krishnamurthy and Vettikavala KN Shashikumar performed at the venue. The bridge and groom garlanded each other on the decorated dias which was constructed on the model of a blooming lotus. The completely air-conditioned shamiana, covering an of 4.25 lakh square feet, was designed on the model of Jodhpur palace. An area of 1 lakh square feet was set apart for VIPs.
