PM and other ministers honour Ex-Indian soldiers

On the occasion of Armed Forces Flag Day several government ministers paid their homage to honour the sacrifice of the Indian soldiers, including PM Narendra Modi who met the officers of the Kendriya Sainik Board in Delhi to mark the event.

Defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman urged the people to contribute to the Armed Forces fund for the welfare of ex-servicemen and their families.

The Ministry of Defence launched a special digital campaign from December 1 to December 7, to enable people to express their solidarity with the soldiers of the Indian Army.

Home minister Rajnath Singh, too, invited the citizens to voluntarily contribute towards the Armed Forces fund on the Kendriya Sainik Board Secretariat website.

Minister of finance Arun Jaitley paid his homage to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the country.
