Fukrey Returns has sailed through the tough times, and has emerged victorious. Against all odds, the film has made more than Rs 50 crore in its first week. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh has tweeted the film’s business figures.
Fukrey Returns started well over the weekend with Friday bringing in Rs 8.10 crore, Saturday seeing Rs 11.30 crore biz and Sunday bringing in Rs 12.80 crore. The week has also been good to the film with the five days bringing in a total of Rs 18.1 crore.
Good collection of Fukrey Returns affirms the notion that Indian audience is going for comedy as the year comes to a close. After Judwaa 2 and Golmaal Returns, Fukrey Returns is one of the few films that have managed to register profit at the ticket windows.
The films managed to set the cash registers ringing despite most reviewers panning them. Fukrey’s sequel also gained from the fact that it has been a lean phase with Padmavati being postponed after protests.
