As India enters Unlock 2.0, here’s what will reopen and what will remain closed across country from July 1
New Delhi : The central government on Monday night released the guidelines for the second phase of Unlock or “Unlock 2.0” – the phased reopening of activities across the country.
While releasing the guidelines for the second phase of Unlock, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) said that educational institutions, cinema halls, political and social events, gyms, metro rail services will remain closed the country.
It further said that lockdown will continue to be implemented strictly in the containment zones till July 31 while adding that the night curfew has been eased by two hours. According to the latest guidelines by the MHA, the night curfew will be enforced from 10 pm to 5 am.
“The new guidelines, issued today, are based on feedback received from states and union territories (UTs), and extensive consultations held with related central ministries and departments,” the Union Home Ministry said in its order.
