Huawei is set to bring its next-generation flagship smartphone lineup called the Nova 6 on December 5. The company is hosting the launch event in China where it is expected to unveil the Nova 6, Nova 6 5G, and the Nova 6 SE. The Nova 6 5G is quite consistent amongst the leaks. Just ahead of the launch this week, some more information on the 5G-enabled device has surfaced.
The Huawei Nova 6 5G’s configuration and color options have been tipped via a listing on VMall. The listing suggests two different RAM and storage options which include 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. As for the color options, the VMall listing suggests four different color options – black, blue, black-purple, and a Honey Red variant. Notably, the device was listed along with some images revealing the key design elements.
At the front, the Nova 6 5G can be seen sporting a dual punch-hole for the selfie camera on the top-left corner of the display. The bezels seem thin on all corners (including the top and the chin). At the rear, there are four cameras placed vertically on the top-left. There is no fingerprint scanner at the rear panel; however, some previous leaks have suggested a side-mounted scanner. The quad-rear camera module is speculated to pack a 60MP primary sensor which is likely to be a Sony IMX686 sensor. Aiding the primary sensor could be a 16MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, a 2MP depth, and a 2MP macro sensor.
The dual-punch hole upfront is speculated with a 32MP primary sensor and a 12MP wide-angle sensor for selfies. Recently, the Huawei Nova 6 5G was spotted on Geekbench with an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 990 chipset accompanied by 8GB RAM and Android 10 OS. The device scored 3,821 points in the single-core and 11,963 points in the multi-core tests on Geekbench. Other features that the Huawei Nova 6 5G is expected to offer a 6.44-inch Super AMOLED display, 4000 mAh battery, and 40W fast charging.
