World Autoimmune Arthritis Day is observed on 20 May every year. The day aims to raise awareness about autoimmune and autoinflammatory diseases associated with arthritis. World Autoimmune Arthritis Day is organised by the International Foundation for Autoimmune and Autoinflammatory Arthritis (AiArthritis).
Autoimmune arthritis is a group of different types of arthritis, where a person’s immune system attacks itself . The most common type of autoimmune arthritis is rheumatoid arthritis.
