THANE: A 40-year-old was stabbed by his father over property row in Patlipada, Thane, on Saturday. The victim succummed to his injuries in hospital on Wednesday. “Ravishankar Soni was stabbed by his father, Rajesh, after the former informed that the six tenements that they owned had been transferred in his wife’s name. An infuriated Rajesh started arguing and in the heat of the moment he picked up a kitchen knife and stabbed Ravishankar in his stomach,” said police.
“The victim, a diabetic, ignored the injuries after the incident. However, on Monday, his condition worsened and he was admitted to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries in the early hours of Wednesday. We have not yet arrested the father, who has been admitted to a hospital as he is suffering from blood pressure,” said an officer.
